Ministry of Internal Affairs Websites Crash Across Russia
- 6.03.2025, 14:08
The outage impacted both the federal agency's portal and the regional headquarters.
The websites of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have stopped opening in Russia, according to Downdetector data.
The failure affected both the portal of the federal agency and regional headquarters. Most complaints about access problems came from the Kamchatka Territory, Kursk, Kaliningrad, Kaluga and Arkhangelsk regions, Moscow and the Moscow region, Karelia.
Users note that the websites of the Ministry of Internal Affairs do not open from either mobile devices or computers, regardless of the type of Internet connection. Most Russians encountered problems around 10:00 Moscow time, but some reported access problems at night. The website of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate is also down.
There have been no official statements yet about what caused the failure. TASS sources in the emergency services said that a "power surge" was the cause. A similar situation with the resources of the Ministry of Internal Affairs occurred in mid-October 2024. At that time, it was explained by a “break in the communication line.”
