Macron Shames Trump Regarding NATO Military Aid

The French President reminded the head of the White House about Afghanistan.

French President Emmanuel Macron said that Europeans are ready to help the United States if it has problems.

Earlier, Trump said that he does not want to protect NATO allies in Europe "if they do not pay."

"You know the biggest problem I have with NATO? But if the United States was in trouble, and we called them, we said, ‘We got a problem, France. We got a problem, couple of others I won’t mention.’ Do you think they’re going to come and protect us? They’re supposed to. I’m not so sure," the US leader said.

Emmanuel Macron responded to this by saying that France is a "loyal and devoted ally." It treats the United States with respect and expects the same attitude from the United States.

"We have always stood by each other. The Europeans were with you in Afghanistan," the French leader added.
